Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients in a variety of surgical areas as assigned in accordance with unit/program philosophies, competency guidelines, policies and the CRNBC Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Two years medical/surgical-nursing experience preferred including chemotherapy administration, pain management.Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts including co-workers, physicians, community agencies\' representatives, patients, and families.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
