Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a new adventure? Unit 22 is an acute inpatient Cardiology/Telemetry Unit where a candidate with experience and skill can manage a population of complex unpredictable and unstable patients. The preferred Registered Nurse for this unit is one who has a strong interest in patients requiring cardiac related Nursing care and who can work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide family focused Nursing care. The RN provides care throughout the life span, in all stages of health and complexities of illness. To excel in this role, you will need good communication skills and the ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. You must be able to work in a collaborative care setting. As the successful candidate you will demonstrate ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence through professional development activities. Red Deer is in Central Alberta near the midpoint of the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor and is surrounded by Red Deer County. The Red Deer area has one of the fastest growing economies in North America and is consistently ranked as a prime location for doing business. This economic growth has created many job opportunities in the region. There are several multi-use recreational centres including the Collicutt Centre, G.H. Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic computer skills including experience with Meditech, Microsoft Office, Outlook. Competence in relevant technical Nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Ability to work shift work. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Preferred Qualifications:
