Georgian Bay General Hospital is currently seeking upcoming Registered Nurses graduates and new Registered Nurses who are within twelve months of registering with the College of Nurses Ontario (CNO) to participate in the NGG program.The Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) is an initiative offered through the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The NGG program is designed to support newly graduated nurses by providing them with a full-time employment opportunity for twelve (12) weeks as an introduction period to transition from theory to practice and expand their clinical skillset. Program Education Requirements:

• Graduated from a recognized Registered Nursing Program within the last twelve (12) months

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated assessment skills and the ability to function independently
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and team building skills
• Ability to monitor patient risk and provide appropriate care

• Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
• Must meet expectations for appropriate, respectful and professional conduct, as set out in the GBGH Code of Conduct
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public

Assets:

• Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current B.C.L.S Certification essential on hire
• Preference for proficiency in French/English language
