JOIN US IN MAKING EXCELLENT CARE PERSONAL!Georgian Bay General Hospital is currently seeking upcoming Registered Nurse graduates and new Registered Nurses who are within twelve months of registering with the College of Nurses Ontario (CNO) to participate in the NGG program.The Nursing Graduate Guarantee (NGG) is an initiative offered through the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
The NGG program is designed to support newly graduated nurses by providing them with a full-time employment opportunity for twelve (12) weeks as an introduction period to transition from theory to practice and expand their clinical skillset.

QUALIFICIATIONSThe ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation:
  • Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
  • Must be compliant with College of Nurses quality assurance standards
  • Graduated from a recognized Registered Nursing Program within the last twelve (12) months
  • Current B.C.L.S Certification essential, on hire required
  • Demonstrated assessment skills and the ability to function independently
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and team building skills
  • Ability to monitor patient risk and provide appropriate care
  • Must meet expectations for appropriate, respectful and professional conduct, as set out in the GBGH Code of Conduct
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
  • Commitment to GBGH Values and Purpose Statement
  • French verbal and written communication skills are considered an asset in this position
