Coronation Health Centre (located in Coronation, Alberta) has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse in their Long Term Care. In this role, you will work as a team lead within a multidisciplinary team to provide client and family focused care in the Long Term Care environment. In this role, the Registered Nurse must have the ability to use critical thinking skills to plan, assess, implement and evaluate client centered care. Your exceptional communication skills are a must, as well as your ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships. You must have the ability to work independently, providing continuity, leadership, including direction, supervision, mentoring, constructive feedback and client care coordination to other professionals and unregulated staff. This environment is suitable for candidates who have a strong interest and skills in providing care to the elderly client, including those diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease or other dementias. Recent gerontology nursing experience and/or education, Charge Nurse, and leadership training is an asset, although training and professional development opportunities are available to successful candidates. New Graduate Nurses are welcome to apply to this position, and this position qualifies for the $4,000/year Canada Student Loan Forgiveness Program. The Town of Coronation is located in the heart of east central Alberta about 270 km from Edmonton and 300 km from Calgary. Coronation has a population of around 1000 but serves a larger area in the County of Paintearth. Coronation is a sports minded town with active programs in Hockey, Baseball, softball, Adult Group Fitness including a fitness centre, Swimming lessons and Aquacises offered at the local recreational facilities.
