Alberta Health Services (AHS) is looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team! Working within a multidisciplinary team, the RN plays a key role in support of an integrated holistic approach to the patient\'s health care, health promotion and health maintenance. You\'re a leader and pivotal member on our team providing comprehensive and family centered antepartum care including triage care for diverse pregnancy related issues, intrapartum care in both the delivery room, pregnancy loss and/or obstetrical operating room as well as postpartum care for both mother and newborn, which may include care of patients on the postpartum unit. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe quality care following the policies and guidelines of AHS. You will serve a diverse patient population with a continual focus on the core values of AHS - compassion, accountability, respect, excellence, and safety. You will display critical thinking and problem-solving skills in providing direct patient and family centered care to patients across the life span with a professional and positive attitude and excellent communication. This multi-unit position will include Labour and delivery, and postpartum units. Alberta Health Services\' South Zone is the smallest of the 5 zones, also the most geographically diverse. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.87/hour - $43.82/hour. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii) as applicable.
