Your Opportunity:
A nurse will provide services to individuals requiring opioid replacement therapy. The Registered Nurse will work with physicians and other health care professionals to deliver care to patients who have been prescribed Suboxone as well as other medications. Case management and collaboration with other allied health providers such as pharmacies, lab services and community partners is a critical component of the work. The RPN/RN will apply professional practice standards to the provision of quality care for patients and families and will work from the perspective of concurrent capable service delivery, a recovery-based model of care, patient-focused and community-based, and stress family engagement. Working in partnership with the Edmonton Metro City Clinic, the nurse will work collaboratively with the physician using telehealth to deliver patient care and document on the physician's electronic medical record TOAD (Treatment of Opioid Addiction and Dependency). This position reports to the Manager of Rural Community Addiction and Mental Health Clinics.
