Duties
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and well-being.
Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities using computer operation skills.
Collaborate with special education staff to support children with disabilities or special needs.
Manage classroom routines efficiently, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities and fostering positive behavior among students.
Utilize strong writing skills to document observations, reports, and communication with families.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
Classroom experience in early childhood education is highly desirable.
Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous for programs serving diverse populations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members.
Familiarity with computer skills including basic operation of educational software and record keeping tools.
Strong organizational skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage classroom activities efficiently are essential for success in this role.
