POSITION OVERVIEW
As a
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
, you will implement high-quality educational programming that supports the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children. Reporting to the Centre Director, you'll work collaboratively with your team to plan curriculum experiences, maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, and build meaningful relationships with families and children. You'll be a role model of professionalism and an ambassador for the Childventures philosophy of learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver engaging curriculum experiences aligned with Childventures' philosophy and standards
Customize programming based on observations and children's developmental stages and interests
Conduct regular observations and maintain accurate documentation and child records
Establish safe, consistent routines and foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment
Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding each child's development
Support licensing, health, and safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
Collaborate with your Team Mentor and Centre Director to maintain and enhance program quality
Participate in quality assurance processes, including internal assessments and environmental ratings
Attend curriculum and professional development sessions to continually grow your practice
Other duties as assigned to support classroom and centre success
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Certification
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario institution
Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
Experience
Experience in a licensed childcare setting is an asset
Knowledge & Skills
Familiarity with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and current educational practices
Passion for early learning and a commitment to quality and safety
