The Registered Early Childhood Educator is to ensure their classroom is properly following School practices and is aligned with the Policies and Procedures of Tender Treasures Montessori School. You are responsible for understanding and following through with the Ministry of Education's four foundations of How Does Learning Happen (HDLH) in your daily programming. To ensure you understand and comply with all the guidelines set out in the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).

Specifications
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a designated Early Childhood Educator
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents
Supportive attitude, and ability to provide emotional, physical, or behavioral support to children
Highly Organized with a strong attention to detail
Strong collaboration and team player
Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
Strong problem solving skills
Proactive in relation to health and safety
Engages and works collaboratively as a team member in caring for the children and the overall operation of the program; maintains regular and open communication with co-workers
Observes children for daily overall health and ongoing observations for signs of potential learning or behavioural concerns and prepares written documentation for the Executive Director/Supervisor, parents, and/or outside agency
Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for the children
Flexible. patient, professional and responsible for addressing issues and concerns at work
Requirements for Employment
Candidate must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Candidate must have an up-to-date immunization record or a notarized letter of medical exemption
Candidate must have proof of completion of a 2 step TB skin test or clear chest X-ray
Candidate must have a clear vulnerable sector check completed within the last 6 months
Candidate must have valid First Aid and CPR-C certificate
Candidate must have a WHIMIS certification

Pay: $24.86-$28.00 per hour
