Job Description

Topcliff Community Childcare is a non-profit organization located in the vibrant Jane and Finch community. Governed by a dedicated Board of Directors, our licensed childcare center is committed to providing a high-quality program for up to 95 children aged 2.6-10 years.

We're currently seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE/Required) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with school-age and kindergarten children in a licensed childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:



Independently lead and contribute to a high-quality childcare program. Demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, and the ability to guide the behavior of school-age and kindergarten children. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.

Qualifications:



Early Childhood Education diploma from a recognized community college.

Member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators, adhering to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practices.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a licensed childcare center with school-age/kindergarten children.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to children and collaborate effectively with parents and colleagues.

Valid standard first aid and CPR level C certificate.

Clear Police Reference Check, including vulnerable sector screening.

Completion of TPH immunization paperwork and necessary health requirements.

Completion of Worker Health and Safety awareness, Human Rights 101, and AODA training.

Knowledge of ELECT programming and documentation.

Familiarity with Toronto Children's Services Early Learning and Care Assessment for Quality Improvement.

Ability to work flexible hours- split shift between 7 am-6 pm.

Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to assess and respond to situations positively and effectively. Experience and willingness to work with children with extra support needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50-$25.50 per hour
