Position Summary

Responsible for planning and providing (in cooperation with a teaching partner) a balanced child development program conductive to the emotional, physical, social and intellectual development of the children.

Qualifications:

1. If applying as an RECE, must be graduate of an E.C.E program or equivalent at a recognized institution.
2. To have completed First Aid/CPR Certification
3. To be a friendly, empathetic and mature individual who is able to relate well to children, parents and staff.
4. To be willing to work as a co-operative and enthusiastic team member who shares ideas, views, etc. with others openly.
5. To be willing to professionally fulfill one's responsibilities in accordance with the Centre's educational philosophy and within the guidelines of the CCEYA.
6. To have incentive to upgrade oneself in the area of Early Childhood Education.
7. To attend a minimum of three professional development activities a year outside the centre.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

1. Meet with team partners to develop a group teaching plan on a weekly or monthly basis.
2. To supervise the children on a daily basis and guide them in their physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development in accordance with the philosophy of the centre.
3. To plan and implement a program geared to the individual child's requirements with concerns for hers/his interests, special needs and talents, and developmental level.
4. Keep current of research and new developments in the profession of Early Childhood Education.

Salary:

Registered ECE - Starting at $25/hr
