iKids Academy is seeking a dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team.

Early Childhood Educators

at iKids Montessori Academy plan, organize and implement programs for children between the ages of 3.6yrs to 4.6yrs.

ECE's

collaborate with ECA's to lead children in activities to stimulate and develop their intellectual, physical and emotional growth and ensure their security and well-being. Some duties include:

- Develop and implement indoor and outdoor programming that supports and promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children in your care

- Lead activities by reading stories, teaching songs and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity

- Maintain a calm, enriching classroom environment that protects the health, safety and well-being of the children

- Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in CCEYA

- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or concerns with supervisors and other team members if necessary

- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural challenges and prepare reports for supervisor to follow-up

- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits including potty training

- Utilize the HiMama daily reporting system on the classroom iPad, ensuring all information entered is accurate and complete

- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with families and co-workers

- May supervise and co-ordinate activities of other ECE's or ECA's

- Complete all forms and classroom checklists as required, including daily documentation

- Perform any needed cleaning duties that may include sweeping and mopping as well as sanitizing countertops, tabletops and toys

- Maintain positive and open communication when interacting with all parents and professionals at iKids

- Acknowledge and comply with all centre policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Licensing regulations and CCEYA

- Supervise children during all times, especially when food is provided

- Attend all staff meetings and professional development days or workshops provided

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.80 per hour
