Position Overview
GIAG is seeking an energetic and dedicated
Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
to join our TLC Before & After School Program at
Longue Sault Public School
. The RECE will work primarily with kindergarten children in a licensed child care setting, providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
Early Childhood Education diploma (or equivalent)
Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Up-to-date immunizations and health assessment
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Experience working with young children in a group setting
Knowledge of health & safety procedures and community resources
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, WordPerfect)
Oral and written fluency in English
Flexibility and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate programs aligned with How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years*. Supervise children to ensure a safe and inclusive environment, indoors and outdoors.
Build strong, professional relationships with parents, caregivers, staff, and community partners.
Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including responding to calls/emails, registration, and fee collection.
Support and mentor co-op students, summer staff, or volunteers as needed.
Maintain compliance with Ministry of Education licensing requirements.
Working Conditions
School-based environment (indoor and outdoor supervision required).
Split shifts are part of the schedule.
Cleaning and sanitizing of toys and program resources.
Fans or air conditioning provided during summer months.
