DUTIES:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the early childhood education program
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
SKILLS
- Registered Early Childhood Certificate certification
- Child care experience
- Ability to educate and engage young children in a variety of activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong time management and organizational skills to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities
- Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and strategies
