Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will engage with children through play-based learning and structured activities, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their educational journey.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Educate children through various activities, including storytelling, art projects, and group discussions. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students. Support children with working persons disabilities by adapting teaching methods to meet diverse needs. Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones. Communicate effectively with parents in English or French as needed, fostering strong relationships between home and school.

Experience

A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Bilingual candidates (English/French) are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with families. Proficiency in computer operation for administrative tasks such as record keeping and lesson planning is beneficial. A strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education is essential.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.62-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 26 per week
