```Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Beaver Creek Daycare starting in July 2025.
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. If you have a love for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure the best possible learning experience for each child
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and behavior
- Follow all licensing regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom
Skills:
- Childcare: Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Computer Skills: Proficient in using computer programs and educational software
- Education: Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage time, resources, and classroom materials
- Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education for RECE
-In good standing with the College (CECE)
- Previous experience working as an Early Childhood Educator or in a similar role(preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Level C certification (or willingness to obtain)
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
-Professionalism, strong work ethics and excellent teamwork skills
-Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20kg (44lbs.), bending and stooping, picking up a child
-Ability to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round; may be exposed to heat, humidity or cold
-Flexibility and adaptability regarding assigned working hours
- Proof of up-to-date immunization record (, Td, MMR, Varicella and Hepatitis B) required by Public Health
-Applicants are required to be a minimum of 18 years of age as per Ministry guidelines
- Reliable transportation: ability to commute to location, or willing to relocate
