Registered Dental Assistant II (RDA II) - Maternity Leave Coverage

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Briar Hill Dental. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is committed to playing a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting our dentists in various procedures. This role requires strong communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with patients and work effectively both independently and as part of our team.

Responsibilities: Assisting with a variety of restorative dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions as well as specialties such as Orthodontics or Pediatrics. Sterilization and Infection Control: Knowledge and experience in sterilizing dental instruments, setting up trays, and maintaining infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Taking and processing dental X-rays, including CBCT, panoramic and intraoral films, in compliance with safety regulations. Communicating effectively with patients, providing comfort during procedures, and explaining post-treatment care instructions.

Maintain accurate up-to-date patient records, scheduling appointments and manage flow of schedule using Cleardent software.

Job Type:

Full-Time; Maternity Leave (with possibility of permanent position) - must be available for some evenings and 1 Saturday a month

Requirements: Certification in Dental Assisting level II in good standing with provincial licensing

Valid CPR Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $21.42-$35.19 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
