As a Dental Assistant, you are integral to our dental practice by supporting the dentist and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Your core skills in medical terminology and dental assisting is essential in preparing patients for procedures and maintaining a sterile environment. Qualifications



Must be a Registered Level II Dental Assistant through an accredited program Proficient in medical terminology and dental assisting techniques Experience with dental software such as Curve is an asset Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatric dental care Ability to perform administrative tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members

Key Responsibilities:



Greeting Patients: Welcome patients as you bring them from the waiting room to the operatory, creating a warm and professional environment. Scheduling Appointments/follow ups: Assist in scheduling patient re-care or follow ups needed by the dentist. Answering Inquiries: Assist where needed and respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding appointment availability, office policies, and general dental information with enthusiasm, professionalism and accuracy. Assists the dentist in providing dental treatment Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies and equipment Collecting and recording patients health histories Patient management during dental procedures Instrument transfer Dental procedure isolation techniques Preparation of dental materials, cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc. Dental charting Prevention and management of dental medical emergencies Inventory Control and management Replenishing ops Ordering items that are low before we run out: 3rd to 2nd last box of items reorder
Accurate lists of materials needed Ensuring all operatories/sterilization are fully stocked
