Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioural therapy techniques and support their daily living activities. This role requires a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and the ability to collect data to track progress effectively.

Responsibilities



Implement individualized behaviour intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA. Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment decisions. Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their needs are met in a supportive manner. Teach social skills and adaptive behaviours to enhance learners' quality of life. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Bridge Kids BC's regulations regarding patient care and medical documentation. Collaborate with families and other professionals in developing care plans that address the unique needs of each learner. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in applied behaviour analysis (ABA) and special education practices.

Qualifications



Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of behavioural therapy techniques and principles of applied behaviour analysis (ABA). Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards. Strong skills in data collection. Ability to manage behaviors effectively while promoting a positive learning environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in behavioural health care. Work Schedules:



Must be available on

both Saturdays and Sundays



Weekdays

: 4 out of 5 weekdays from 3 pm - 6:45 pm or 3 pm-8:15 pm

Saturdays

: 7 hours per day from 9 am - 5 pm or 10:45 am - 6:45 pm

Sundays:

7 hours per day from 9 am - 5 pm or 10:45 am - 6:45 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
