We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support through behavioral therapy, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and promoting positive behavior management strategies.
Duties
Implement individualized behaviour intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment decisions.
Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their needs are met in a supportive manner.
Teach social skills and adaptive behaviors to enhance learners' quality of life.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Bridge Kids BC's regulations regarding patient care and medical documentation.
Collaborate with families and other professionals in developing care plans that address the unique needs of each learner.
Provide patient care while utilizing appropriate medical terminology and maintaining accurate medical records.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and special education practices.
Qualifications
Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities, is preferred.
Knowledge of behavioural therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Familiarity with care plans, behavioural health concepts, and behavior management strategies.
Strong communication skills to effectively teach and interact with clients and their families.
Ability to collect data accurately and maintain organized records for each client.
Understanding of medical documentation practices and terminology related to patient care.
