We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals, primarily children, who have developmental disabilities such as autism. This role involves implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting data, and supporting clients in achieving their behavioral and educational goals. Duties
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding to promote independence.
Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions for ongoing assessment and documentation.
Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment that encourages learning and positive behavior management.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency across all settings.
Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
Prepare and update medical documentation, care plans, and progress reports as required by supervisors or regulatory agencies.
Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education strategies, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques.
Skills
Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and experience with applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Prior experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities.
Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and implement care plans effectively.
Excellent data collection skills to track client progress accurately.
Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records management, and basic medical terminology.
Compassionate approach to patient care with patience and understanding for individuals with diverse needs.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of protected health information.
Effective teaching skills to facilitate learning in clients across various settings.
Experience in behavior management strategies aimed at promoting positive behaviors and reducing challenging behaviors. This role is essential for supporting individuals' growth and independence while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes behavioral health and development.
