GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an exceptional, lighting controls focused Regional Sales Manager based out of Calgary or Vancouver to join our team for Western Canada. The ideal candidate has prior sales experience, a can-do attitude, a commitment to lifelong learning, and is passionate about new technologies.

In this role, the successful candidate will educate, design, and deliver autonomous lighting controls solutions to the Western Canadian market through both established and newly formed relationships. The qualified individual will manage their sales activities, call on existing and prospective customers, and network to build new relationships with the goal of increasing smart lighting controls adoption in the marketplace through the ability to reduce or eliminate traditional barriers before, during and after the installation of a project.

The role will focus on delivering the solution to all stakeholders in the electrical industry including electrical contractors, distributors, specifiers, manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s representatives, and end users. The candidate must have a proven record of working both independently and as part of a team and must display broad knowledge of controls products and solutions in the marketplace. This role reports directly to the National Sales Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and sell JDRF Electromag products in Western Canada.
  • Establish and grow current and new relationships with key contractors, distributors, engineers, property managers, and end users.
  • Identify key decision makers and appropriate next steps.
  • Conduct in person and remote customer training sessions.
  • Actively manage opportunities to deliver on assigned sales targets.
  • Visit current and prospective customers to evaluate needs and to develop an appropriate solution.
  • Review and annotate electrical drawings and project specifications, in conjunction with the Inside Sales team, to develop and provide a complete solution to the customer.
  • Relay customer feedback to the internal team for ongoing product development.
  • Develop and execute market specific goals and strategies to drive profitable growth.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date sales pipeline and provide timely reports and forecasts.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university. Higher education/certifications are an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years\' experience in lighting, lighting controls, HVAC controls, building automation systems or similar fields along with experience as a Regional Sales Manager.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Flexible, goal driven, proactive and entrepreneurial.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers.
  • Ability to communicate technical details and requirements to a broad audience up and down the construction channel.
  • Willingness to travel within your region (30-50% of the time) or to work flexible hours as dictated by the customer or opportunity.
  • Attend and present at industry exhibits and events as required.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Have and maintain a valid Canadian driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
  • Ability to work in Canada.
