Job Description


Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales of Nokian Tyres in the replacement market for passenger cars and light trucks in their assigned. Working in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, the Regional Sales Manager serves as a trusted business advisor and expert consultant on Nokian Tyres\xe2\x80\x99 products and services. He/She will operate in an assigned geographic territory (this current assignment is for British Columbia), traveling to customer locations, dealers and fleets, and mainly working from a home office environment.Responsibilities

  • Effectively execute the Nokian Tyres sales strategy; retaining and growing existing accounts as well as developing new business.
  • Build a strong and trusting relationship with our customers in territory during regular site visits and sales calls.
  • Continually develop and maintain sales activity with key regional dealers.
  • Engage customers through superior product and service offerings as well as demonstrated product expertise.
  • Within the assigned territory (currently British Columbia), manage the launch process for new products and services.
  • Participate in marketing and product knowledge events such as seminars and trade shows.
  • Utilizing CRM tools, market analysis and other intelligence; monitor territory sales progress and adapt approaches to optimize sales effectiveness.
  • Resolve operational and administrative issues, respond to internal and external inquiries, and prepare routine and special reports as required by management.
  • Uphold Nokian mission and values and demonstrate supporting behaviors in day-to-day actions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • 3+ years outside sales experience, preferably within the tire or automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent listening, consultation, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient with MS-Office application suite and Salesforce / CRM applications.
  • Ability to travel 75% within the assigned region, by air or car.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs; able to walk, sit, squat and climb around passenger vehicles.
  • Must possess a valid Provincial driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
  • Strong In Public Speaking
  • Prior tire industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships.
