Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities to achieve revenue, occupancy, and market share goals.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular outreach, property tours, networking events, and client engagement activities.
Deliver persuasive sales presentations and represent the brand at trade shows and industry events.
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive advantage.
Collaborate with General Managers and the National Director of Sales to execute a rolling 12-month sales and marketing strategy.
Manage key accounts to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Oversee proposals, contracts, and client communications to ensure timely and professional execution.
Optimize revenue by balancing rate and volume, meeting or exceeding budgeted room rates and occupancy targets.
Implement targeted campaigns-including telemarketing, advertising, and promotions-to enhance visibility and market penetration.
Monitor booking patterns and recommend innovative strategies to maximize revenue potential.
Lead, coach, and inspire Regional Sales Managers and the Sales Coordinator to achieve high performance and accountability.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and career development for the sales team.
Promote cross-department collaboration to ensure seamless client service and operational efficiency.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and sales briefings to maintain alignment with company objectives.
Ensure accurate reporting, pipeline tracking, and effective use of CRM systems.
Maintain trace systems for lead follow-up in accordance with company standards.
Uphold compliance with company policies, including health and safety, emergency procedures, and crisis management.
Serve as Manager on Duty when required, representing the property with professionalism.
Complete monthly and annual reports in line with organizational requirements.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in achieving sales and revenue targets within hospitality, travel, or related industries.
Proven leadership experience managing and motivating high-performing sales teams.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and interdepartmental collaboration.
Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours based on business demands.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
