RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Qu\xc3\xa9bec - Sant\xc3\xa9 (FRQS).
Position summary
The regional research coordinator is a joint position between McGill and Institut Nordique du Qu\xc3\xa9bec (INQ). Through funding from the Government of Quebec, the INQ, is supporting a Chair in Northern Research at McGill. The position, Research Coordinator, is based in the research group of the chairholder, at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) and reports to the same. In this role, the research coordinator is responsible for development, realization, and coordination of tasks related to: supporting northern and arctic research in Quebec at large by reaching out to research groups at other universities in the Montreal area and Sherbrooke, liaising with administrative offices at McGill, RI-MUHC, and the INQ office at Laval University for administrative matters such as budget and reporting.

General Duties
The research coordinator will be assigned to provide dedicated support to reach out to other universities in the Montreal and Sherbrooke areas to coordinate and support activities related to the INQ, and advance McGill\xe2\x80\x99s and RI-MUHC\xe2\x80\x99s involvement in the INQ.. The incumbent is expected to function at a high level of responsiveness and effectiveness within a complex, fast-paced office environment and provide outstanding organizational and communication support. The role of the incumbent is primarily coordination and networking, development and analysis, writing and administration.

Education / Experience
Education: For applicants with substantial lived experience in Indigenous communities, a Diploma of Secondary Studies is possibly sufficient otherwise, Bachelor\'s Degree
Work Experience: 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of working within or in partnership with Indigenous representational organizations, or 3-5 years research administration in a Canadian university. Experience in policy and planning is an asset.
