Position Overview

The RMEM develops the regional medical education strategy and supplies the National Medical Education Strategy. They implement regional needs assessments and identify local and regional insights on educational gaps and HCP learning needs. The RMEM develops tactics alongside the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the region. The RMEM helps identify local congress opportunities and leads all aspects of medical event execution by Territory Managers according to laws, regulations, policy, and Corporate Compliance. They identify field alliances for execution and coordinate executional excellence of tactics in alignment with the strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Education Leadership

  • Develop the tactical regional education plan
  • Lead the execution of educational assets in field
  • Optimize learning offerings in the region
  • Partner closely with MSL to meet with speakers to ensure alignment to scientific strategy and pre and post event follow up
  • Responsible for execution of medical events and regional congress symposia operations
  • Attendance/participation at regional and major conferences as needed
  • Coordinate event wrap-up and evaluation including insight feedback to NMEM
  • Conduct quarterly regional insight analysis
Field Logistics Leadership
  • Management of all aspects related to the tactical execution of a medical education event
  • Ensures the tracking and reporting of events in a compliant manner
Compliance and Medical Education Subject Matter Expert
  • Understands the needs of the region for medical education
  • Responsible for event closure, post event evaluation summaries and post-event follow up with the speaker
  • Stay on top of scientific literature/clinical data
Regional Business Readiness
  • Supports the Cardiovascular Metabolism and Pulmonary Hypertension medical education strategies and execution for each learning event
Qualifications

Education:
  • A minimum of a university degree is required, preferably in medical or related health sciences subject area; a science degree is preferred
Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • 3+years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or medical education field or educational field
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulated standards (IMC Code of Ethical Practices, ICH GCP, cGMPs, or Pharmacovigilance standards)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to showcase leadership of cross-functional project team members
  • Superior level of attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment is critical
Preferred:
  • Experience in continuous improvement and or quality improvement processes.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in SFMC, Microsoft products, Adobe products, and strong ability to learn other technology quickly
  • Prioritization and organization of workflow activities to meet timelines
  • Knowledge of the medical education area is an asset
  • Ability to make decisions specific to business requirements
  • Completion of a course in Continuing Medical Education or CPD i.e., CCPE
  • Confirmed examples of leadership, high learning agility, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity in the development of marketing and/or educational project
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted, and collaborative environment
Other:
  • Travel: Regional (45%), National (20%), International (10%).
  • Valid driver's license
