Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Regional Digital Delivery Leader, we\'ll count on you to:

  • Lead efforts relating to Building Information Modeling (BIM) and overall corporate vision and initiatives that will streamline use of BIM at HDR
  • Guide local project teams in ensuring that BIM guidelines, model health and best practices are properly met
  • Demonstrate experience in execution of owner-driven BIM guidelines, as well as creation and deployment of Digital Deliverable Plans.
  • Mentor staff in BIM best practices, corporate initiatives, and general understanding of BIM platforms
  • Assist in the hiring of production staff and vetting of BIM capabilities
  • Develop, implement and execute a Canada wide BIM strategy in conjunction with Corporate resources and the other Canadian Digital Delivery Office Leaders and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Position will report to Corporate ABG Digital Delivery Team Leader.
  • Assist to determine, contribute, and drive to achieve digital delivery goals.
  • Development Responsibilities:
  • Discover, create, develop, and implement new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Gather and promote actions for lessons learned and project experiences.
  • Education & Training Responsibilities:
  • Provide education about best practices, tools, processes, project execution.
  • Create and provide training, educational and communication resources.
  • Communications Responsibilities:
  • Gather critical information about office and regional needs, issues, and activities.
  • Elevate relevant information firmwide and to the ABG where/when needed.
  • Inform regional leaders and MPs of digital delivery information.
  • Foster collegial sharing of information about initiatives and other beneficial activities.
  • Communicate digital delivery developments and updates to regional users.
  • Provide feedback on regional needs to Digital Delivery Team.
  • Contribute information and materials to SharePoint and Teams portal.
  • Support Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 2 & Tier 3 digital tools support for regional users (in-depth technical & expert product support).
  • Provide support to ABG where/when needed.
  • Integration Responsibilities:
  • Liaison for project engagement with software platforms for design, planning, analytics, sustainability, equipment, etc.
  • Provide integration for software from other ABG sources that enhance project execution.
  • Project Engagement Responsibilities
  • Reinforce established practices by action on large projects and mentoring other projects.
  • Assist with project contract language, proposals, project digital teams.
  • Lead project startups for larger projects and regular project oversight.
  • Assist project leadership aligning user skillsets with project requirements.
  • Monitor and understand digital delivery health in Region and provide guidance to attain healthy level.
  • Utilization: 50%
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Architecture, Architecture Technologist or equivalent education
  • 5+ years AEC industry experience
  • Revit Architecture, AutoCAD and Navisworks experience
  • Experience managing large complex workflow performance as a BIM Manager on Healthcare, Education, Science and Advanced Technology or Civic projects with a $100M+ budget is a plus
  • Aptitude toward technology and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of model-based delivery and automating tasks through use of scripts and/or the Revit API
  • Ability to challenge status quo in a constructive and successful fashion and mentor staff
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and demonstrated oral and written presentation skills
  • Experience and interest in sustainable design and LEED process desired
