Cityedge Vision Centre is looking for an individual to join our team as our Refractive Cataract Surgery Coordinator.

SUMMARY

The Refractive Surgical Coordinator is responsible for achieving, if not exceeding, growth targets for our Refractive and Advanced Cataract Package services. This position will provide education and counseling based on the recommendations of the physician.

This individual will drive the exceptional experiences our patients and referring providers receive when working with us.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comprehensive knowledge and patient flow expert for Cityedge Vision Centre elective services, such as refractive procedures and processes in order to effectively counsel, educate and schedule patients. Respond timely and accurately to patient phone and in-person inquiries. Provide an exceptional patient experience during the consultation and pre-operative portion of the Advanced Cataract appointments, including but not limited to, proper patient education and counseling, scheduling, and paperwork/payment collection (in cooperation with our administrative staff) Effectively collaborate with management to promote exceptional patient experience. Proactively follow-up with non-committed patients, engaging in the education process. Accurately document patient charts for upcoming procedures. Monitor electronic medical records for specific notes from the physician. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

University/College education with one-two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with a high focus on customer service, sales, and medical background. Ophthalmology experience is preferred.

Location/Schedule Details

This position is part-time, 2 to 3 days per month and will be based at our office.
