What You'll Do



Perform thorough preoperative and postoperative measurements and clearly explaining each step to patients. Operate and interpret results from autorefractor, lensometer, Orbscan, Optomap, OCT, LipiScan, Zywave, and Topolizer technologies. Review and validate diagnostic imaging maps to ensure accuracy and quality. Communicate and present patient cases clearly and confidently to the ophthalmologist for review and surgical planning. Provide insight and educate patients on refractive procedures, cataract surgery, and premium lens upgrade options. Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care in every interaction.

What You'll Bring



Optician, COT, or COMT preferred. Experience and confidence using diagnostic and imaging equipment, including autorefractor, lensometer, OBR, Optomap, OCT, LipiScan, Zywave, and Topolizer. Understanding of cataract surgery and intraocular lens (IOL) options, including premium upgrades. Strong comfort with technology and computers, including Microsoft 365 (EMR experience an asset). Excellent communication skills in English and a genuine focus on patient experience. Prior eye care or ophthalmic clinic experience is an asset.
