CITYEDGE VISION CENTRE is a specialized ophthalmology practice with a fully equipped refractive cataract surgery suite. We pride ourselves on being a community-based medical eye care with a wide range of services and are an accredited out of hospital premises (OHP). We offer a supportive small team environment and are looking for a new nursing team member!

Unlike some surgical centres, we have strong patient-provider relationships. On surgery day, patients spend approximately 1-2 hours at the centre. While our aim is to ensure efficiency and may be considered a fast-paced environment, we maintain a moderate volume of procedures which allows patients and surgical team members to feel both comfortable, competent and efficient in delivery standards of care that we all deserve.

You will need to have excellent communication skills, a desire to work as a team, and the ability to multi-task.

Circulating nurses oversee surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and patient safety. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, equipment monitoring, and coordination of surgical team activities

This is currently a Part-Time Casual Position; Tuesdays (7:30am-appx 4pm); schedule provided in advance. Willing to provide training to the right candidate to work and become certified as an ophthalmic surgical technologist. Experience in ophthalmology is an asset. Additional opportunities expected as part of our growing practice in the coming months.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
