Job Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. We're looking for someone who is motivated and knowledgeable. Experience in commercial and residential settings is an asset.

Duties

Perform electrical installations for

residential and commercial construction projects

, ensuring all work complies with current codes and safety standards. Carry out

retrofitting and renovation projects

, including updating and modernizing existing electrical systems. Complete

lighting upgrades and retrofit work

, focusing on energy efficiency and modern design. Work on

design-build housing and renovation projects

, collaborating with clients, designers, and contractors to deliver tailored electrical solutions. Deliver a full range of

residential electrical services

, including panel upgrades, wiring, troubleshooting, and smart home integrations. Handle

large electrical distribution systems

in commercial or multi-unit developments, including transformers, switchgear, and load centers. Provide

emergency electrical service work

, responding quickly and effectively to urgent electrical issues. Perform

routine service and maintenance

, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe and consistent operation.

Mentor and support apprentices

, providing guidance, training, and oversight to help develop their skills and ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

Red Seal Certification

(or Journeyperson Electrician certification in good standing)

Experience

in residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work Experience with

new builds, renovations, and retrofits

Proficient in

lighting upgrades, distribution systems

, and design-build projects Solid understanding of the

Canadian Electrical Code

and local building regulations Experience with troubleshooting in all areas and being able to come up with solutions Ability to

read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

Comfortable working independently or leading a small team on-site Experience

mentoring apprentices

and supporting their professional development Strong focus on

safety, quality, and attention to detail

Excellent communication and organizational skills Valid

driver's license

with a clean driving record Must supply basic hand tools and PPE; company provides specialty tools and equipment
