We are seeking qualified individuals for the Plant Maintenance Supervisor position. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will require candidates to work a 7-days on/7-days off (days and nights) 12-hour rotation. Financial relocation assistance is provided if required.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise the Mechanical Maintenance team; inspire and drive engagement, productivity, and performance.
Drive a safety culture ensuring compliance with all safety policies.
Coordinate and execute planned maintenance activities through effective utilization of resources, tools, and parts.
Coordinate the planning, implementation, and improvement of the entire maintenance management process, with a focus on the execution of daily, weekly, and major repair activities.
Provide leadership by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and promoting teamwork.
Develop the capabilities of the maintenance team through training and coaching, as well as create effective working relationships between maintenance and operational groups to ensure effective communication and alignment of activities.
Assist with the development of budgets and cost control while also implementing health and safety systems within the maintenance area to ensure scheduled work is executed safely.
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry including Concentrator maintenance, safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.
Red Seal/Journey Person Millwright
Previous supervisory experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
Excellent work ethic, and attendance record.
