Job Summary

Reporting the Manager, Recruitment and Admissions within the Faculty of Law, the Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator supports the daily administration and operations of the Faculty of Law Recruitment and Admissions Office for the Juris Doctor ("JD") Program. The Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of unit/department-wide tasks, activities and/or projects and supervision of casual employees and work study students. The regular hours of work for this position will be 35 hours per week and may vary on a regular basis. Some overtime on evenings and weekends is required during peak periods of the recruitment and admissions cycle. The Faculty of Law seeks an outgoing and dynamic individual who is excited about recruitment and admissions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with prospective students, marketing and event coordination experience, organizational skills, and attention to detail. This position evaluates admission and scholarship applications for prospective students and makes admission decisions and recommendations. This position provides advice and guidance to applicants, schools, students, and families on admission qualifications, policies, program details, and financial assistance programs. This position identifies target markets for enrollment
objectives and liaises with alumni network to encourage student recruitment. This position prepares statistical reports and interprets the results of recruiting trends, opportunities or potential issues.
The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work evenings and weekends.
