Recruiter, Nursing Students!

Reporting to the Manager, Student Recruitment, the primary responsibility of the Nursing Recruitment Coordinator is to recruit prospective undergraduate and graduate nursing students to the University of Regina. Within a collaborative framework involving the Faculty of Nursing and Saskatchewan Polytechnic, this position works with high schools, post-secondary institutions, newcomer centres, healthcare employers, and campus partners to encourage students to apply to nursing programs offered at the University of Regina.
This individual serves as the primary contact and resource for prospective nursing students--offering guidance, information, and support from first inquiry through application. The incumbent plays a key role in building relationships, delivering presentations, and coordinating events to increase nursing enrolment and strengthen partnerships across the province and beyond.

What You'll Do:

Travel extensively across Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba to promote nursing programs through in-school presentations, education and career fairs, community and newcomer events, adult education centres, employer visits, and more. Represent the Faculty of Nursing and the University of Regina at local and out-of-province recruitment events. Lead virtual recruitment activities, including online presentations, prospective student appointments, and workshops for applicants and waitlisted students. Plan and coordinate on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events focused on nursing--managing logistics, budgets, volunteers, materials, and reporting. Build and maintain relationships with prospective nursing students and key stakeholders, including school counsellors, community partners, and healthcare agencies. Develop and implement a targeted communication strategy for prospective and admitted nursing students--drafting emails, newsletters, and outreach content, and updating nursing information on the university website. Create, manage, and report on recruitment plans and strategies, using data and market research to assess and adjust efforts for maximum enrolment impact. Provide enrolment advising to undergraduate and graduate nursing prospects, offering guidance on admissions, financial aid, and program options. Collaborate with the Faculty of Nursing, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, University Communications & Marketing, and other partners to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely recruitment messaging. Use tools like Slate, Banner, and InDesign to manage prospects, create reports, and produce digital and print materials. Mentor new recruiters on nursing-specific content and engagement strategies, and contribute to a collaborative and supportive recruitment team culture. Balance extensive travel and irregular work hours (including evenings and weekends) with in-office planning, reporting, and administrative tasks. Take on physical duties like transporting materials, setting up displays, and working independently in remote travel conditions.
