Job Description

Landtran Systems is looking for a Recruiter to join our team. The Recruiter position will be a key member of our team responsible for the administration and organization of employee recruitment as well as assisting with the capturing, development and implementation of HR programs, policies, and procedures surrounding the recruitment function. The position can be a combination of office/remote-based in Edmonton and will support recruitment for the other Business Units of Landtran Systems. This position requires an outgoing, self-starting individual with a passion for continual improvement. Expertise in Transportation Industry and unionized recruitment would be assets.
As the Recruiter, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Using traditional and non-traditional resources to generate candidate leads, source and attract a qualified pool of both active/passive candidates through sourcing techniques that include; social media, job posting boards, cold-calling, networking/referrals, Internet mining, professional networking sites
• Maintaining positive - ongoing lines of communication with candidates
• Managing requisition & sign-off process. Ensures payroll forms are completed accurately prior to any offer of employment being made.
• Prepares offers of employment and works with Business Units to coordinate and execute onboarding and site access process.
• Consult with Business Unit Hiring Managers to develop pipeline strategy that will best identify candidates to meet job requirements and preferred qualifications.
• Support Company/industry/diversity recruitment events and job fairs, including virtual job fair process.
• Support Staffing/Recruitment projects to fortify department and Company initiatives; i.e. trade schools, colleges and social media.
• Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation with Hiring Managers, work collaboratively on teams and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization.
