Full-Time



Two (2) Positions



SHIFTS/HOURS: Must be available for Days, Evenings and Weekends



RATE OF PAY:

Start Rate

1295hrs

2590hrs



$27.03 $27.39 $27.68



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:





Postsecondary diploma, degree or certificate in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology from an Ontario postsecondary institution or other related field from a community college, university or diploma, degree or certificate granted from another jurisdiction or equivalent experience is preferred. Affiliation with a Professional Organization (Therapeutic Recreation Ontario or Activity Professionals Ontario or equivalent) an asset. You must demonstrate leadership skills with knowledge of the aging process and dementia. Commitment to a multi-disciplinary team and a person-centered approach working with residents, staff, families and volunteers is also required. You will have previous work and/or volunteer experience in Long Term Care. Training in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), UFirst!, an asset. Experience with quality improvement processes an asset. You have excellent writing and communication skills along with strong organizational and interpersonal skills A Police Record/Vulnerable Sector check is required.
