Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Receiving Team Leader to lead our dynamic receiving team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and fostering a positive work environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing tasks like unloading, verifying deliveries, maintaining records, operating various forklifts, and ensuring proper storage to maintain efficiency and accuracy. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Reporting directly to the Logistics & Supply Chain Manager, the Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for:



Following safe work practices and adherence to all safety polices and ensuring these policies are followed within the department Managing incoming shipments Assisting in maintaining a safe & orderly facility, and taking ownership over the receiving & stockroom areas Planning resources and execute to the daily receiving schedule Maintaining accuracy of inventory and location, addressing discrepancies where required Supervising and coordinating the activities of team members to ensure smooth operations Providing training and support to new employees, focusing on company policies and procedures Maintaining organization within the workspace, ensuring that all areas are clean and well-stocked Utilizing time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations Collaborating with management to implement strategies for operational efficiency

Qualifications:



Post-secondary education with an emphasis in Supply Chain will be considered an asset but not necessary

Strong computer knowledge and experience with Excel Previous experience in a supervisory role is required, (minimum of 1 year) showcasing strong leadership capabilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to work overtime when needed. Excellent communication skills Ability to lift 50-75lbs consistently throughout the day Prior experience with power hand tools is an asset Receiving experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset Prior experience driving a forklift required

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
