We're looking for an experienced and safety-focused
Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
to lead our shipping, receiving, and yard operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and can balance the demands of both administrative accuracy and hands-on operational oversight.
You'll be the go-to leader ensuring shipments are accurate, the yards are organized, and the team is working safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing:
As the
Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
, your days will be full of variety and responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and coaching shippers, receivers, and the yard supervisor.
Overseeing all incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, condition, and compliance with company policies.
Reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Monitoring loading/unloading operations and ensuring safe use of equipment.
Maintaining yard organization, cleanliness, and seasonal upkeep (including snow removal).
Directing storage and movement of shipments to correct bin locations and ensuring inventory accuracy.
Supporting cycle counts and inventory control.
Ensuring equipment inspections are completed, defects are reported, and work orders are created as required.

Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma (or equivalent); Grade 12 with strong experience will be considered.
8+ years of supervisory experience in shipping/receiving or related operations.
Forklift certification and safety tickets (CSTS, First Aid, WHMIS, OSSA).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Knowledge of ISO and quality assurance standards.
Experience with inventory and cycle counts.
Work Environment:
Office-based with regular outdoor yard responsibilities.
Exposure to loud noise and extreme weather conditions at times.
Fast-paced, deadline-driven operations.
Standard 40-hour work week with potential for varied schedules.
PPE required on-site as per company policy.
