Job Description

The Receiving & Inventory Coordinator is a member of the Operations department and reports directly to the Materials Inventory Manager.



Please note this is a contract role.

Key activities



Warehouse Operations:



Receive and process all inbound materials across multiple warehouse locations.

Restack pallets of ingredients daily.

Ensure timely transfer of packaging and raw materials from external warehouses to the production plant to meet schedules.

Request and coordinate deliveries from outside warehouse sites (e.g., Weddell and Fripp) to the main production facility.



Inventory Control:



Perform accurate data entry within the ERP system.

Conduct monthly cycle counts of packaging and raw materials, investigating any variances.

Carry out one-off inventory counts as requested by purchasing or production managers.

Analyze and compile weekly shortage reports for purchasing, planning, and operations teams.



Coordination & Compliance:



Collaborate with purchasing and planning to manage DRP requests, ensuring paperwork accuracy and ERP updates.

Fulfill Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulatory requirements for inbound and outbound shipments.

Coordinate supply requirements to align with production schedules.



Administrative Support:



Prepare documents, reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets for manufacturing operations (e.g., raw material tracking, KPI monitoring).

Develop administrative tools to support operational analysis.

Provide coverage and support to the Operations Inventory team, performing related duties as required.

Required training and experience

Degree or Diploma in Business or related field preferred.

Maintain TDG certification (training provided).

1 to 3 years' experience in an administrative role.

Familiarity with a manufacturing environment and production reports preferred.

Solid working knowledge of MS Office and experience with an ERP considered to be an asset.

Skills sought

Strong basic mathematical and analytical skills.

Proven ability to manage and take ownership of processes and programs, while remaining flexible to changing circumstances and requirements.

Ability to work independently.

Effective organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.



Specific condition to the position:



Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
