The receiver is a key player at The Well receiving and being accountable for all orders. This includes the acceptance and storage of items, invoicing, assisting with the returns, and supervising the waste and recycling daily.

This position pays $21.00 an hour
  • Understand the delivery schedule for the day and prepare accordingly
  • Keep Dry Good and Non-Alc inventory faced and organized.
  • Check Dry Goods and Non-Alc inventory daily.
  • Create a working relationship with supplier representatives.
  • Receive orders and place in storage locations
  • Monitor waste and recycling management
  • Store and organize physical invoices.
  • Retrieve, scan and deliver invoices when requested
  • Keep Dry Good and Non-Alc inventory faced and organized.
  • Check Dry Goods and Non-Alc inventory daily.
  • Create a working relationship with supplier representatives.
  • Receive orders and place in storage locations.
In addition to:
  • Hands on management of loading dock area, including shipping and receiving deliveries of dry, frozen, chilled, perishable and fragile goods for Restaurant operations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Checks deliveries and supplier\'s invoice against purchase order and specifications for quality and accuracy in descriptions, quantities, and prices
  • Maintains goods received and date of delivery in receiving log
  • Maintains proper security over storage areas
  • Lift and transport heavy goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Uses equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and regulations
  • Liaises with suppliers and deals with queries in a timely manner
  • Organizes goods for shipments including proper packaging and documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness in loading dock area
  • Maintains professional working relationships with suppliers for Aera
  • Must be able to work overtime, evenings or weekends as required.
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Able to read invoices and packing slips with care and attention to details. Receiver must be able to read and understand manuals for all equipment used.
  • Ability to sign shipping documents, write incident reports, notations or other written communications in a clear and legible manner.
  • Numeracy skills - Receiver should be to do physical counts on items and perform basic math
  • Ability to verbally communicate with English fluency to a wide variety of people for the safe and efficient transport of goods in a timely and organized manner. They may also be required to telephone suppliers to follow up on shipments or complain about missing or damaged goods.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to complete and file paperwork in an organized manner.
  • Able to plan the transport and storage of fragile or perishable goods in a safe and efficient manner, be able to decide when the quality of the shipment is not acceptable.
  • Receiver should remember where things are stored and make the best possible use of storage space in freezers and coolers. Receivers should be able to maintain a proper receiving log with notations for incidents.
  • Ability to learn on the job or from others but also be able to work independently with limited supervision
  • The receiver must have the physical strength to lift heavy loads (50 lbs) and push carts. Receiver must be able to bend, stretch, stand, walk, and climb for extended periods of time and must be able to withstand fluctuating and extreme temperatures.
