Job Description

We are looking for a Receiver to join the team at our Mixing Plant! Afternoon Shift Hours: Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 11:30pm The Receiver receives, dumps, transports, and disposes of bulk, bagged, and toted ingredients at the Mixing Plant. They will use their strong product knowledge and computer skills to operate turn-heads, pits, and recharge systems to accurately and efficiently transfer material to other areas of the facility. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:
  • Receive bulk and bagged/toted ingredients: weigh trucks in and out, sign bills and enter amounts received into QAD.
  • Sample loads and test as per material control plan including toxin testing in the lab.
  • Operate computerized turn head to receive bulk ingredients to bin or silo.
  • Dump toted material through receiving pit or transfer pit as needed.
  • Keep recharge bins full using the automated recharge system.
  • Classify poultry meal through overhead classifier.
  • Move skids or totes from one storage area to another in accordance with lot serial control practices and enter these transfers into QAD.
  • Dispose of empty tote bags into Baler.
  • Weekly cleaning and trap line monitoring as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll have:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lift truck and skid steer experience with certificate an asset.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Good computer knowledge with ERP system experience (QAD) an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
