Job description Responsibilities
:
Carriage of Real Estate files from beginning to end
Preparation of all related documents for purchase and sale transactions, mortgage transactions, routine loan transactions and refinancing (on behalf of lenders and borrowers from both private and institutional lenders)
Standard document production in relation to property acquisitions, dispositions and financings
Conduct and review title searches, oversee off-title searches and draft requisition letters and responses
Deal directly with clients, financial institutions, municipalities, land registry offices and title insurance companies
Prepare record books promptly following completion of files
Produce the highest quality of work
Accountable for all work assigned

Requirements:
2-5 years' minimum experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk
Successful completion of a related post-secondary education program in a legal assistant or law clerk program, is a bonus but not mandatory
ILCO certification, is a bonus but not mandatory
Proficiency with Teraview is required
Flexibility to work overtime when needed Skills:
Solid understanding of the Real Estate transaction process
MS Office Suite of Applications 2013 and newer
