About you: Are you a motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong employment and academic track record? We're looking for an analytical super-star to support our Toronto-based commercial real estate lending business. This team is responsible for originating, structuring, underwriting and executing both conventional and CMHC-insured loans between $1M CAD to $250M CAD across several real estate asset classes focusing on the Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic markets. The candidate can expect to obtain valuable experience by being exposed to the various facets of the deal cycle, from origination pitches to the drafting up of credit applications to funding and closing, as well as meeting with brokers and clients. We're looking for a forward-thinker who can comfortably interpret quantitative and qualitative data and roll up their sleeves to manage various deal write-ups and ad-hoc requests. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in commercial lending/corporate credit or other applicable experience in the commercial real estate industry. About you / qualifications:

• Prior experience in commercial lending or commercial real estate is mandatory
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration is considered an asset
• CFA, MBA, CPA, or CIM designation or enrollment thereof considered an asset
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate markets in Canada
• Proficiency in Financial Statement analysis
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to establish and set priorities
• Excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Familiarity with AML and KYC requirements
• Adaptable, flexible and responsive to change
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Support the account managers in recommending both conventional and CMHC-insured credit applications/deals through the preparation of detailed written credit applications while incorporating thorough financial and market analysis
• Create and monitor monthly results reports, including inputting data through internal CRM
• Coordinate and support account managers and mortgage administration department on rate setting, AML compliance, and funding
• Process commercial mortgage renewals from initial contact to renewal approval and commitment, and to facilitate assumptions where appropriate
• Review and provide commentary on third-party professional reports, such as appraisals, environmental and building condition reports and any other third-party reports in accordance with policy
• Process annual reviews of commercial loans
• Possess a detailed knowledge of all Peoples Trust commercial real estate product offerings and internal compliance/credit policies
• Liaise with the Mortgage Administration team, head office personnel and Peoples Group solicitors to ensure timely funding/execution of commercial loans/deals
