Job Description


Software Application and Version:

  • Excellent control of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Knowledge of the commercial real estate market, an asset
:
  • Reporting to the Accounting Director, the Accountant performs the financial management of the leases and bookkeeping associated with a previously assigned real estate portfolio.
  • Their main responsibilities are:
o Financial management of leases;
o Produces preliminary rent records, presents the changes to the real Estate Director for approval and makes them final acceptance after approval by the real Estate Director;
o Complete monthly rent billing and receipts
o Prepares billings for retroactive rent adjustments and routes them to tenants.
o Postings of rent change notices;
o Conduct monthly budget variance analysis;
o Prepare monthly accruals and accruals
o Calculate and prepare the final invoicing and quarterly provisions for operating expenses related to leases (13th invoices, taxes, energy, etc.) ;
o Monitoring the capital budget and project follow-up;
o Participate in the preparation of the forecasts and budget in collaboration with the various departments;
o Ensure internal control standards according to 52-109, and ensure the application of the various procedures;
o Participate in special projects to improve our work processes and tools;
o Participates in the monitoring of overdue accounts receivable and in the collection activities of these accounts;
o Conduct bank reconciliation;
o All other related tasks

Experience And Knowledge Required:
  • Accounting training, or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent control of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Knowledge of the commercial real estate market, an asset;
  • Knowledge of SPACE, an asset.
