The Ranch Manager is an extremely important member of the SRR team and because of the nature of this role, it\xe2\x80\x99s critical that they\xe2\x80\x99re undeniably reliable, maintain a positive attitude and are able to manage their day-to-day stresses in a professional manner. The Ranch Manager must be well organized, an effective team leader, have a strong understanding of horses and horse care, an experienced rider, somewhat technologically savvy, have a modest mechanical ability, and an aptitude for general repairs and maintenance. This is a highly collaborative position, well suited to someone that enjoys working in a team environment in a leadership role, but can also operate very autonomously. In collaboration with SRR\xe2\x80\x99s ownership, and the SRR team, ideal contenders for the Ranch Manager position will be responsible for the following (by eitherdirectly managing, or delegating and supervising):
Keeping our guests safe
Regularly working with and around horses
Safeguarding SRR\xe2\x80\x99s large herd of horses; ensuring they\xe2\x80\x99re all fit, healthy and happy
Consistently delivering high quality Ranch experiences
Facilitating the development of new packages, events and experiences
Increasing SRR\xe2\x80\x99s year over year revenue profile
Leading and managing onsite and offsite team members, effectively setting expectations, and ensuring everyone is accomplishing their respective deliverables
Nurturing a positive, collaborative and professional environment
Nurturing opportunities for team building and ensuring staff take time for themselves, to maintain a healthy work/life balance
Growing and enhancing SRR\xe2\x80\x99s overall digital adoption strategy, including our dynamic social media presence
Managing booking and team activities calendar
Managing inbound sales process
Being a part of keeping our website up to date
Developing commission plans to motivate certain activities, and enhance the team\xe2\x80\x99s monetization opportunities
Train, sell and purchase horses for SRR

Trustworthy and honest \xe2\x80\x93 SRR has a zero-tolerance policy for dishonesty
100% responsible and reliable
A seasoned horse person with at least a couple years of experience working with and around horses of all sizes, breeds and temperaments
A strong understanding of horse care and everything that that entails
A capable rider
Must be able to work with heavy equipment and unpredictable animals
At least two years successfully and effectively leading and managing personnel in a professional environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effectively communicate with Ranch guests, team members, suppliers, vendors and local communities
Highly communicative \xe2\x80\x93 asks questions and offers ideas
Coachable \xe2\x80\x93 confident enough to lead, but humble enough to take direction
Reasonable computer skills to complete or create reports (Microsoft Office)
Proficient with social media platforms
The ability to pick up and become proficient in new software and technology systems
Must be able to work both independently and within a team environment
Can identify the times when work needs to be done, and capitalize on the opportunities for rest
This is a year-round position, with our busiest season being from May to October
Reasonable knowledge of automotive, septic, well, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and all-weather conditions
Must be physically fit due to the strenuous and physically demanding nature of this position
Someone that enjoys outdoor related activities and hobbies that can be explored in a rural environment
Someone that thrives in an autonomous working environment, with minimal supervision
Valid Driver License
