A Quartz Fabricator/Polisher's primary responsibility is to ensure quartz surfaces are finished and polished to a high standard, meeting specific quality requirements. They operate various tools, including hand and power tools, to grind, sand, and polish the quartz, ensuring smooth and even surfaces. They also inspect finished products for defects and make necessary repairs, like filling chips and cracks.

Responsibilities include the following:

Polishing and Finishing:

Using hand and power tools (like polishers, grinders, and sanders) to achieve a smooth, polished finish on quartz worktops.

Quality Control:

Inspecting finished products for defects, such as chips, cracks, or uneven surfaces, and making necessary repairs or adjustments.

Tool Operation:

Proficiency in operating various tools, including hand and power tools, and polishing equipment, is crucial.

Following Specifications:

Ensuring that all work is done according to specifications and adhering to quality standards.

Problem Solving:

Identifying and addressing issues related to the polishing process, such as uneven surfaces or tool malfunctions.

Safety:

Adhering to safety regulations and guidelines when operating equipment and handling materials.

Teamwork:

Collaborating with other team members to meet production goals.

Communication:

Communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding progress and any issues that arise.
Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

Some experience in polishing, grinding, or finishing stone surfaces is generally preferred.

Mechanical Knowledge:

Understanding of tools and equipment used in the polishing process.

Attention to Detail:

The ability to identify and address minor imperfections in the polished surface.

Physical Stamina:

The role may involve some physical exertion, such as lifting and moving materials.

Safety Awareness:

Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.

Teamwork and Communication:

The ability to work effectively with others and communicate clearly.

What we are looking for



Basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery. Ability to read and understand shop drawings. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Safety-conscious and adherence to safety rules and protocols. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
