Position: Quality Technician
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's Enhanced Food Safety Program. This includes performing inspections, audits, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with food safety standards, HACCP plans, and company policies. The role requires close collaboration with production teams, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain product quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain all aspects of the plant's Enhanced Food Safety Program, ensuring proper documentation and regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular inspections of plant floors at regular intervals during each shift to ensure full compliance with food safety policies and procedures.
Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections and record observations in Daily GMP logs.
Review and verify daily production and quality records, reporting deviations promptly to management.
Audit and oversee sanitation and cleaning procedures for equipment, production areas, and housekeeping; document and report any non-conformances.
Implement and verify corrective actions for any reported or potential food safety or quality issues.
Inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with company specifications and food safety standards.
Inspect outgoing products before shipment to verify they meet quality, safety, and packaging requirements.
Participate in customer complaint investigations and implement corrective actions as required.
Conduct ongoing food safety coaching and training sessions for staff and escalate performance concerns when necessary.
Verify compliance with prerequisite programs and HACCP plans.
Perform scheduled environmental monitoring (e.g. swabbing), record results, and interpret data to identify risks.
Participate in GMP audits and facility inspections to ensure compliance.
Ensure high standards of food safety, quality, cleanliness, productivity, staff hygiene, uniform, and organization; escalate violations with appropriate documentation and corrective actions.
Prepare and submit monthly food safety and quality reports to the Quality Manager.
Calibrate equipment weekly and regularly verify sanitizer concentrations.
Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Food Safety, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Solid knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards, with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Flexible and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
Proficient with Google Sheets and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Willingness to work different shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Cantonese.
