Quality Technician, Banska Bystrica (m/f/*)
The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As an Quality Technician at PSD, Fall Protection Banska plant in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by: Performs complex tests, and/or experiments and analyses of materials and product samples to ensure quality products using various testing methodologies and equipment.*
Provides analyses based on a complete understanding of quality procedures, basic statistics, techniques, products, and equipment and on knowledge of the production operation.*
Recommends changes in procedures and standards as required. May also test or examine product samples from competitors. (50%)*
Performs calibration of test equipment and standardization procedures prior to its use. Operates experimental, prototype or production test equipment. Provides suggestions for most efficient equipment utilization, equipment modifications, or new equipment as required. May develop tests for new products or for changes to existing products. (10%)*
Documents test results, maintains records, and prepares summary reports that may be used by other departments. Communicates results to appropriate staff. Responds to inquiries and complaints as required. Sets priorities within the framework of requests or production needs. (10%)*
Quality Inbound checks on the RAW materials and Finish goods checks as needed 10%.*
Assists and trains in basic quality principles and procedures. Participates as a team member on problem solving teams or new product development/test method development teams. (5%)*
Completes special requests from engineers, group leader and/or supervisor. (5%)*
Performs audits of products and processes. (5%)*

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements: Education: High school/Maturity in Slovakia, level of education or equivalent experience methods taught in craft or vocational/technical areas.*
A complete understanding of quality procedures, techniques, statistical sampling, products, and equipment.*
Skills in: coordinating, communication, basic statistical calculations including sampling plans, and mathematical skills. In addition, basic computer literacy and competency in statistical software (Minitab) is required for data entry, analysis, and retrieval, and preparing standard reports.*
A working knowledge of basic quality tools and a consistent problem solving methodology, such as the "7 Step Problem Solving Method", and of a consistent process improvement methodology such as Plan-DoCheck-Act (PDCA) or Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) is required. A general awareness of basic statistics is required.*
Language skills Slovak in fluent, English basic*

Job specifics:Location: based in Banska plant in Slovakia Travel expectations include up to 5% domestic/international Relocation: Not authorized/Remote location is NOT supported Plant based (shop floor) Working pattern: (full time/part-time min. 4 days a week) Physical and Environmental Requirements: The job primarily involves a mostly standing or walking, and also non-confined sitting position (employee is free to move about). Finger/hand manipulation is utilized, together with physical effort that includes lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling. The job involves visual as well as mental concentration requiring the ability to handle situations under stress. Risk exposure requires applying safety rules and utilizing training or special protective equipment. The work environment includes exposure to undesirable conditions such as noise levels, temperature extremes, wetness, fumes, etc. sufficient to cause discomfort. Remuneration details: 1569 Euro gross/monthly (full-time) dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package.
