We are hiring a
Quality Technician
to join our
Night Shift
.
Responsibilities
Determine best practices to control weld quality analysis and performance on the shop floor.
Conduct period product and process inspections; conduct physical quality control inspections on welded, machined, and fabricated parts
Develop and conduct quality assurance programs as per ISO/IATF 16949 standards.
Responsible for conducting required tests (i.e., destructive testing) in to ensure part quality meets Quality Plan requirements.
Read blueprints, drawings and conduct First off, Last off & In-Process inspections as customer specifications
Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Create and maintaining QA control documentation for weld analysis and process relevant reports; nonconformance, daily production quality, root cause analysis, quality trends
Maintain all controlled document files and inspection records in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide instruction on Quality guidelines and ways to eliminate deficiencies; recommend corrective actions
Report Non-conformance issues to management. Establish root cause analysis and implement corrective actions by analyzing details from all concerned departments.
Conduct part measurement & inspection utilizing precision measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, height gage, CMM, Optical comparator, torque wrench, force gage etc.
Assist QA Engineers in the containment of suspect materials
Maintain a clean and organized weld lab
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in relevant field or equivalent experience
Cut & Etch experience
Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
Ability to conduct root cause analysis using various problem-solving techniques
Must have fundamental knowledge of Projection, Spot & Mig welding
Knowledgeable in the use of checking fixtures as well as experience in using precision measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.)
Must have strong mathematical skills
Must have strong computer skills including MS PowerPoint & MS Excel
Ability to set-up and safely operate teardown tools such as bandsaw, chop saw
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
